MELLON ARENA TICKETS

The Mellon Arena, nicknamed “The Igloo”, has been home to the Pittsburgh Penguins since their induction in the league in 1967. Its is the oldest arena on the Bettman circuit and also the one offering the lowest seating places during hockey games with only 16,940 available seats.

 

The 2009-2010 season should be the last one played by the Penguins in the Mellon Arena. After which, the team will be moving across the street into the new Consol Energy complex. The Mellon Arena will then be destroyed.
