With the NHLPA currently conducting their ratification vote on the newly established CBA, a vote which should be completed by Saturday morning, it is looking more and more certain that the NHL will announce its schedule for a 48 game 2013 season on Sunday. Though they could always publish it earlier, it would seem that everything is still on track for Sunday. Along with the launch of the schedule, it would appear that Sunday will also be the first day of training camps, meaning Saturday (following the completion of the vote) will likely mean physicals. Among the interesting tidbits being leaked regarding the schedule, it would seem that the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs will kick off the season Saturday night in Montreal, while other rivals like the Lightning and Capitals will also face each other on opening night. Another certainty, there will be many back-to-back games this season, starting with teams like the New York Rangers who are apparently opening with 3 games in 4 nights. Be sure to check out the site the moment the schedule is released as we will have any and every seat to all NHL games the second it is published.
